D has ADHD and Anxiety which makes it difficult for him to remain focused in the classroom. D often misses out on information and struggles to see tasks through to completion. D is often singled out for disruptive behaviour, and he was beginning to develop a negative self perception.
Educational support sessions has given him the opportunity to solidify learning foundations (like his times tables) that now assist in more complex maths equations, like word problems and despite his difficulties, D is keeping up with his peers in the classroom. This is a great positive experience for a young man who needs more optimism in his world, Little Star Learners is injecting a little shot of positivity into his days and helping him shine.
